Tyler Evans

Tyler Evans is CEO for Consolidated Boring, Inc. CBI provides critical components and sub-systems to many of the missiles and munitions in the U.S. arsenal. Mr. Evans previously served as president of the Missile Solutions sector and senior vice president of the Defense Business Unit at Aerojet Rocketdyne. Evans oversaw all Aerojet Rocketdyne missile defense, air defense, tactical, and strategic systems, as well as ballistic missile target programs that directly support critical U.S. defense initiatives. He also served as the primary interface with the Missile Defense Agency, U.S. Air Force, Army, Navy, and other major customers who utilize Aerojet Rocketdyne’s defense propulsion systems and services.
Evans previously served as Vice President of the Rocket Shop, Aerojet Rocketdyne’s Defense Advanced Programs organization.
Mr. Evans’ career encompasses over 30 years of successful experience in the aviation and defense industry, with 21 years at Pratt &Whitney (P&W), assuming roles of increasing responsibility. He previously led the international programs and business development organization in P&W’s Military Engine Division with responsibility for defining, developing, and implementing strategies to meet customer requirements in more than 30 countries. Mr. Evans also held executive leadership positions as program executive director for the F135 engine for the F-35 Lightning II, and the F119 engine for the F-22 Raptor. He began his career as a combustion engineer working advanced programs across P&W’s product portfolio, including military, commercial, industrial, and rocket engines.
Mr. Evans received a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Virginia Tech. He earned a Master of Science in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University. Additionally, he received dual Master of Business Administration degrees from Purdue University’s Krannert School of Business and ESCP-EAP European School of Management in Paris, France.
Mr. Evans has led high-performing teams that have been recognized for industry awards such as the AviationWeek Laureate Award, Secretary of Defense Performance Based Logistics Award, and the Program Excellence Award. He also holds a U.S. patent for a low-emission combustor.
